Waow,the big brute!

That is what makes AirVentue at Oshkosh so great. Where and the way they set up the boundaries are always great. When this giant was in front of us, it was at taxi speed and we were within 75 yards of the wing tip. The set it up where you can get nice shots of it landing with some tire smoke but you put your chair out where they are at taxi speed and all are great photo ops! And kudos and hats off to ALL the volunteers that make this possible because without them, it would just another ordinary “Air Show”! It is truly an amazing feat by the ATC, marshals, and volunteers to get your aircraft parked where you want to park it. For instance if you fly in your Cessna 195, there is a section for 195’s and they even have miniature I-95 Freeway signs in the 195 parking “aisles” and to for me to meet and get autographs and a photo with from my biggest aviation hero, Burt Rutan was a highlight of my last fly in. I will shoot in the week 10-12,000 photos and while you sitting there in your chair photographing the early departures, next thing you know Patty Wagstaff is standing in front of you signing and taking photos and will answer any questions you have for her. I know this was a long post but if you have never made it to Oshkosh for AirVenture, put it on your bucket list! Also got to see Harrison Ford when he did his last young eagles flight. Didn’t get an autograph but got some great photos of him.
