Nice.
U.S. Forest Service and NASA after extensive studies ($) reported that a very large air tanker (VLAT) was of little use except in rolling or flat terrain. CDF (CalFire) knew better and proceeded to contract and support this new concept, jet air tankers. This is the DC 10's eleventh year in aerial fire suppression
