McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle (72-8960)
Mitsubishi F-15J Eagle in KMQ/RJNK
Comments
Interesting to note that it is hard to tell the F-15J from the MiG-29 and SU-25. You kind of wonder who copied who?
I thought you were going to say "hard to tell the F15J built in Japan from the F15C..."
su-27 you mean, which is twice as large as the 15. the Su-25 is a single tail ground attack aircraft.
Quoted from Wikipedia..
The Mitsubishi F-15J/DJ Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather air superiority fighter based on the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle in use by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The F-15J was produced under license by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The subsequent F-15DJ and F-15J Kai variants were also produced. Japan is the largest customer of the F-15 Eagle outside the United States.[1] In addition to combat, F-15DJ roles include training. The F-15J Kai is a modernized version of the F-15J.

The structure raised aft the cockpit. Air brake? Helps cool the engines?
Air brake.
No Chris that is the speedbrake used for landing. I was a crew chief on the F-15A thru the F-15D.
Thanks Charles!
