McDonnell Douglas DC-10 (N315FE)
The mains of "Roxanna," a DC-10 (N315FE), break contact with the surface of runway 34L as the big FDX heavy rotates away during its 7:31 AM departure from Reno to begin the return leg of the daily morning KMEM-KRNO-KMEM round-tripper.
Comments
I lucked out here. The winds had started whipping up and the direction shifted so the in-use runways were swapped shortly before "Roxanne" departed. Plus, the "d" roll was longer than usual; thus, it rotated as it was passing by my position and I was able to catch it with the city skyline in the background.
Yeah, that worked out well because it is a great shot!
Great shot!!
Excellent capture, Gary!
