Don't you think the pilot and co-pilot should have been a little busy at 10,000 feet? (www.bloomberg.com) 更多...

Not enough info. Was the F/A on duty and in uniform? Does that airline have the same policy as others: ie when one flight crew member leaves the cockpit another crew member enters for the duration of the absence.

"Japan Airlines said it suspended the pilot immediately for violating regulations that require pilots to remain vigilant." Maybe taking selfies isn't included in vigilance.

This seems like the most logical explanation. Everything else is SOP, but taking a selfie while your partner is gone definitely means that 0 pilots are paying attention to the instruments.

Yea, for the 2 seconds it takes to snap a pic.
So What's the big deal. Briefing a chart is more distracting than a quick photo. Stupid pointless suspension just because of political BS.

Only thing I read that anyone would be in trouble for was use of the phone/camera, seems like the rest was SOP.

Doesn't mention aircraft type, but an airliner at 10,000 feet is often still climbing. Don't you think it would be very early in the flight to be skylarking with the FA and taking bathroom breaks?

Article says they were thru 10,000 not necessarily at it, which I read as the AP trying to let us know they were above sterile.
