A small United jet flew to China from Colorado Springs. Here's why it did.
After a routine flight Friday from Houston to Colorado Springs, a United Express regional jet began heading northwest. Way, way northwest. It flew all the way to China, making many stops along the way. The regional jet’s far-flung destinations caught the attention of aviation enthusiasts and led to speculation on Twitter. Ha! A pulitzer winning journalism site reports this news while showing a picture of a Bombardier CRJ-900 rather than an Embraer E175. Good job, journalist. Not only is that picture of a plane with rear-fuselage mounted engines rather that wing mounted as the E175-195 family has, it's also the direct competitor of said Embraer family of aircraft. I actually legitimately double facepalmed at this level of fail.

Lousy journalism. Too bad that the quality level of a Woodward, Bernstein, Murrow and hundreds of others is a thing of the past. Seems like what they teach at school is how to grab attention of readers regardless the importance of the story.
