My next door neighbor flew these in WWII. He was shot at and parachuted into the River Seine, then rescued by the French Underground. Wish he were still around to see this picture.

I'm so glad Owl's Head is still a thing. My grandparents volunteered there after retirement, and I loved going to the annual rally - I got to ride in a lot of the old cars like a Nash, 189x Olds, etc. but the hit and miss engine running the ice cream churn got visited often too.
