Im thinking this might be a super connie. The little windows above the cockpit and the intakes atop the cowls are different from other constellations ive seen (including the giant photo on my wall im looking at).
I tend to think that this is a shot of a very early Connie on a test flight out of Lockheed Burbank CA, given the background terrain and also the upper overhead cockpit windows...as per the later Aero Commanders.
chris this is N67901 The ninth C-69 for the USAAF first flew on 19 April 1945. It is seen over the Sierra Nevada wearing its c/n on either side of its nose. To Howard Hughes as N67901 in 1946 and TWA as L-049 N90830 in November 1948.photo from 1945 SN 43-10317 MSN 1969
