Boeing 747-400 (VH-OEG) - Photographed 38000ft below in Christchurch City as the big Boeing was overflying New Zealand at 458kts on its journey from Santiago, Chile to Sydney Australia, with 2.5 hours to go. Captured with a 300mm/f2.8 telephoto lens and 1.7 teleconverter. As good as youll get with this focal length under perfect sky conditions. The jet fitted inside the 4mm focus rectangle so was really really small! This image is cropped to 1/3 of the 35mm sensor.
