Airbus A319 (N302NV)

I had a double stroke of very good fortune while capturing this AAY special paint. First, it arrived from Las Vegas over 20 minutes early so the sunlight was still perfect for photographing it. Had it arrived on time, the sun had gone down just far enough to be behind a bank of clouds over the Sierra Nevada so this Las Vegas Golden Knights special livery would have been landing in shady light. And second, I was positioned for 16R arrivals. Just as this one radioed in on base leg, the tower replied that the runways were being reversed due to a wind shift and arriving traffic would be landing on 34L. I could never have relocated in time. But the pilots of this one replied that they were close to turning final, and the tower advised them that they would be the last flight to be landing on 16R. Moments after this one landed, 34L became the runway in use.

I really like the black background to the familiar sunrise logo on the horizontal stabilizer. I’m sure we’ll see a Raiders themed Allegiant aircraft when the 2020-2021 season begins.

Anyone older than age 5 can do it because this is such a super sharp paint scheme. And absolutely no editing is required; just snap it and share it.
