— — - The D-21 Drone is an unmanned vehicle that was launched from the top of the M-21 Blackbird (#60-6940/#60-6941) as well as from the B-52H Stratofortress and was not used extensively. The drones were put into storage until they eventually found their way into museums. There were 38 drones produced and several were lost due to launch. The drones featured in this gallery currently include the D-21Bs at the Evergreen Aviation Museum, Beale AFB, Pima Air and Space Museum, Blackbird Airpark, the National Museum of the United States Air Force, and the Museum of Aviation.
