North American Super Sabre (N2011V)

Hearing an afterburner light on the F 100 was one of the biggest thrills in my aviation experience. The solo Thunderbird pilot used to sneak up behind the crowd at low altitude and light the afterburner until they had to stop because their were too many heartattacks!
I caught one of the last T-bird F-100 shows at a fly-in in upper Texas in I think 68. The solo gear down pass was touching his wheels side to side like a dance down the runway. loved it.
Incredible Photo Jack..............
Hope EAA Oshkosh 2019 will be a destination again for N2011V

Jack- awesome shot!
A very-awesome, daytime photograph showing AB exhaust impacting the runway.
Normally, that kind of AB impact is best shown during night time.
Meanwhile, was at BZN Bozeman Airport FBO in 2016.
Spotted two F-100s, painted white with a blue accept stripes, sitting outside a hanger, apparently in storage.
They were just east of the luxurious, FBO.
Nobody could answer my questions as to their status.

Robert,
The F-100's at Bozeman are owned by Big Sky Warbirds. Their status is unknown, but I doubt they are airworthy. They are former Flight System's aircraft.
