Lockheed EC-121 Constellation (N422NA)
Comments
Almost too pretty.
GASP!
I used to fly on these between Bombay and London and vice versa. 22 Hours with stops at Karachi, Cairo, Rome and Dusseldorf getting off for various meals in beautiful restaurants! As a child I used to like seeing the flames from the exhausts at night.
Lucky enough to see one of these at RAF Mildenhall Suffolk UK in the 70’s
Superior
Not in this industry at all. Minuscule knowledge. But looking at this plane it is sheer beauty. Elegance of Grace Kelly....Sounds crazy but one could fall in love with it
Flew in a commercial one from Lima to Cusco in August 1965. It was flown by a former TWA pilot. The choice was a Connie on one airline or a DC-4 with a different one. I was told the DC-4 wasn't pressurized and we would be given a tube for oxygen. It was needed because we would be going over the Andies.
Evokes the same feelings relating to its form as when looking at the Spitfire.
Milady..........!!!!!!!!!!
