Douglas DC-7 (N4887C)
N4887C Douglas DC-7B makes it's final landing at Hartsfield-jackson International airport after a long awaited ferry flight. 11/17/2019
Comments
"final landing" indicates it is going on display at Hartsfield? Currently licensed as "restricted - agriculture/pest control" so it was used as an aerial spray plane.
This was the first aircraft I flew on in 1963.
Paul Wisgerhof: Display @ KATL makes sense, and would be my guess also. Other pix on FA show N4887C as an aerial firefighter, and the '33' on the vert stab pretty much confirms it.
Amazing that she has carried the same reg since her initial delivery to DAL in 1957!

I am sure she is tired and ready to be relieved of her active flight status!
Those engines have a significant amount of down-thrust.
Oh, so classic!

What a beauty. I've flown on post aircraft DC-8/ DC-9/ DC-10/ DC-11.
Elegant, noisy lady?
Saw on DL Non Rev site, the DL Museum did buy it and brought it up to flying standards to get it to ATL; and will go into their museum.
