Love the fastback
@Warner Ogden: Me too! Not something you see on most of the P-51s.
The B & C models were all fastbacks and the Red Tails started with those.
The P51-A was typed as A-36 Apache and built in Inglewood, CA. Powered by the Allison
P-51B-NA was also built in Inglewood and the first with the Merlin
P-51C-NT was built in Dallas, TX (aka Mustang Mk III by the Brits)
P-51D-NA/-NT were built in both Inglewood and Dallas
