McDonnell Douglas FA-18 Hornet (18-8926) - Royal Canadian Air Force CF-188B Hornet departing NAS Fort Worth JRB for a training sortie on an overcast Texas afternoon. This "family model" two seat Hornet experienced a very slow retraction of the left main gear. The nose and right main retracted quickly however the rear left can be seen finally retracting. 1 Star ratings from a user on all my CF-188 shots, yikes. Some user must really, REALLY, dislike the RCAF!

Garrett, the reason someone voted it one star probably has much more to do with jealousy than with any dislike of the RCAF. To get such a crisp capture of a military metal-gray warbird against a gray cloud background takes some skill -- skill the one-star voter most likely does not possess and is jealous that you DO possess. There are all sorts of reasons why folks vote 1 star: an angry spouse or girlfriend or neighbor or coworker, immaturity, jealousy, etc, etc. If you really want to determine the true assessment of your pics, look at the number of VIEWS. This one has been posted for just over 3 hours, and it has already been viewed 35+ times. That's easily going to be at least 50 views in 6 hours, 75 or so in 12, and probably well over 100 in one day. Garrett, there are some who post pics that don't get 100 views in two MONTHS! There is only one person's STAR VOTE that is important and if that person gives your pic(s) a 4 or a 5, your photos are A-OK. And always remember -- when the one-star voter clicks on your pic to vote on it, it adds ONE VIEW to your view total. So he / she / it is actually adding to the most important stat: Number Of Views. Keep 'em comin', Garrett. *****!
