WASHINGTON (AP) — No airport pat-down for the incoming House speaker. On Friday, the GOP's John Boehner was guided past the metal detectors and hand inspections given to other passengers on his flight . . . (flightaware.com) 更多...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
The "rule of law" means that nobody is immune from the law. If senators and congressmen were getting the same treatment at airports as everyone else, they would be disgusted and change the rules, real fast. To make sure they don't, either the the senators and congressmen asked for and got special treatment or the TSA gave it to them in advance. They have their own retirement plan so they don't pay social security, either. It is against the founding principles of this country for our leaders to make one set of rules for themselves and another set for everyone else.
At least he is flying commercial, unlike the previous Speaker.
he's not the speaker yet, and he said he would fly commercial when he was flying home on break. you think the 3rd in line to be the president of the united states will NOT be on a gov c32 when he is working? that's a crazy idea. of course he doesn't get a pat-down, the elite people who make these laws are exempt from the BS us peasants are subjected to.
This is BS! Politicians should not be exempt from any screening. None. If he wants to fly commercial, make him go through the whole experience. And what about his staff? Are they exempt, too?
I fly constantly and TSA security is all BS. This is why everyone hates our leaders. They take advantage. I will guarantee that congress would change the rules if they had to put up with this crap.
Mr. Keegan, all Senators and Congressmen pay social security taxes. All of them are in the same retirement plan as all other federal workers. They don't have some cushy retirement plan and they are not exempt from the health care bill passed last year. For crying out loud, before you shoot your mouth off, do some basic research and stop listening to those who have no clue.
