The 16 coolest airline paint jobs in the world

As planes crisscross the globe, their exterior graphics not only represent the companies that operate them but in many instances also serve as visual ambassadors for their respective homelands. A great airline livery gives onlookers a taste of a carrier's values or its culture's ethos in an attractive and effective colour scheme. Airlines like Southwest, Spirit, and American have updated their liveries in recent years, with mixed results. Others have hit home runs. Here's a… (www.msn.com) 更多...

I believe that Westjet got their Disney themed idea from AS, who has had a disneyland plane for alot longer...though, the AS Salmon-thirty-seven is my personal favorite of their themed planes.

A always thought Southwest Airlines had a cool paint job. If you hear a jet and look up, you can easily tell it's a SWA jet.

They've mixed up special liveries with regular liveries, hardly a fair comparison. There have been and are currently some outstanding special liveries out there. All the while, most airlines seem to be going to Euro white with boring fonts! I realize its expensive but kudos to all those airline execs who sign off on special schemes such as retro liveries…spoken from a spotter's perspective of course!

I’ve always enjoyed Nok Ait’s livery, if not the company itself. What’s not to love about that nose? https://www.flickr.com/photos/79691705@N05/15370017325

I'm not a big fan of the color brown but I think UPS's brown and gold color scheme just looks cool. Plus, although not fancy, when plane watching from my yard I can always tell an SAS flight from the red engine cowling. Check out Iron Maidens jet if you want to see a sick paint job!

ZK-SUH ZK-NCG ZK-NBV ZK-NQC all were airline to middle earth aircraft The lord of the Rings all of these aircraft have retired from the anz fleet. ZK-OKP ZK-OKO are the only two b773's in the anz fleet with the second part trilogy of The Hobbit with these decals. But I have being told there no longer on the aircraft. Can anyone confirm this.

Could care less how they paint an airplane, my big concern is if they maintain them, and if there is First Class. Getting from point A to point B does not depend on some fancy paint job. And corporate pride should depend on service, not a symbol.
