Biggest problem besides lack of range is the support infrastructure to recharge the batteries. There is no standardized charging standard and FBO's are not going to spend their limited cash buying chargers that they'll likely never recoup initial cost if installation.

Same problem electric cars have except the problem is exponentially worse.

OK so what is the big deal here? Only thing going on is same deal different day. No range no payload still the same ongoing problem. One outfit is touring the USA with a modified production AC with short range still. Problem remains batteries while lighter still dont have much range. One that is used for limited instruction only can do pattern work.Again nothing new.
