IndiGo Close to Placing a Near-Record Order for More Than 300 Airbus Jets

- The order size is notable. Much more significant is that Indigo, plagued by P&W GTF engine failures, will switch these Airbus orders to CFM-built engines. Quote from the referenced press notice :

Is IndiGo honestly that rich? I thought that Emirates was the richest airline in the world. It makes sense because IndiGo probably has investors it can depend on.

Hope some of them are options to convert, by the time the 300th iOS delivered there may been new product available

IndiGo Signs Blockbuster Order For 300 Airbus A320neo

India’s largest low-cost carrier, Indigo, has firmed up a blockbuster order for 300 Airbus A320neo family aircraft—one of the largest sales ever recorded by a single operator in Toulouse in the manufacturer’s 50-year history.

The order consists of a mix of A320neos, A321neos, and the recently launched A321XLR, bringing the Indian carrier’s Airbus fleet to 730 aircraft.
