Where is the renovation of high speed trains throughout North America. Our transportation is Third world quality compared to Asia and Europe.

For the answer, check out the population density and distances between cities in Asia and Europe compared with North America.

Lets see, looking at what they are trying to do brings to mind congestion already at most major airports for one. Trying to fit these things into a city is another. Then there is the push for I guess AI so there is no pilot. The latter still isnt working very well for OTR trucking and taxies either so that could be a real hoot.

"Soon" is hyperbole. I believe Archer is at least two years away from flight certification, possibly three. An MOU is a nonbinding expression of intent. It is not a contract. On the other hand hand, in the long run, Archer eVTOLs will be well suited to quick hops like San Jose to SFO.

Airport congestion, experienced pilots, and what’s the point?
Good luck… ain’t gonna happen anytime soon IMO.

Currently there are NO certification standards for “powered lift” vehicles.
Also there is not a path toward getting a rating to fly one.
Without an act of congress to mandate certification and pilot certification rules then this is just a hope.

Who's going to fly these things? There is already a shortage of commercial pilots, where are you going to find those with enough experience flying in low altitude/urban environments? Army helicopter pilots with "nap of the earth" training would be good candidates, but how many of those are there?

The service provided is unclear. If it is basically just a taxi, getting you to the airport terminal entrance where you are just like any other passenger entering the airport, big deal. Rich corporate helicopter types service. Now take me straight to my gate and we have something of value.
