He was convicted twice before for doing the same thing!! Why was he not punished severely enough in those cases?

I agree that given his background, that sentence is a slap on the wrist... Too bad the people that passed that law set the statutory maximum so low.

You would think that he would know better - Seeing his age, he won't be doing much more airline travel anywhere! At least not in a cockpit!
