The FAA told ABC News the plane was a Beech BE-76 aircraft. It crashed into a house shortly after departure from Pompano Beach Airpark at about 3 p.m., according to the FAA. Preliminary information from the FAA indicates only the pilot was on board the plane.
Aerial footage showed debris from the crash close to homes, and a part of one house was on fire.
