There really is no justification for scrapping a functional aircraft like this. Pure greed is not a justification!

A7-HBJ, another 747 BBJ was sitting at PHX two weeks ago, hopefully not as it inched closer to Marana. Royal family of Qatar put it up for sale 2 years ago. A7-HBJ includes the LAIRCM anti-missile system, just because...

What a waste... but on the other hand, understable.
A BBJ 747 based on a 747-8i, which only like 3 airlines in the world have one. Nobody really would like to take over a jet needs several hundred thousand to gut and put in interior for commercial use...
And given how few 747-8i were sold there probably not a market for a 747-8BCF or something...

I believe eventually there will be something like a BCF conversion, but probably not another 4-5 years before someone started to consider that (oldest 747-8i is only 10 years old or so)
