We all know what turbulence can do to a plane in wake turbulence. With computers and experienced pilots maybe it could be ok. Otherwise, I the only resemblance to a bird are some nice swan dives occurring over the Atlantic with last minute recoveries.
Way overdue. The Board was asleep at the wheel on this one, and it will cost the company severely. Unfortunately, its always the lower man on the totem pole who will suffer at the incompetence at the top.
Always sad to see a long standing company close. But with the prices tipping close to $1M, it is really difficult to compete for such a small market share. I wish the workers best of luck in new aviation work, and that the name continues on in some fashion.
I still have a lot of AA miles, but reduced flying with them because service went downhill. Lounges are packed, food abysmal form what they even offer (both in BOS, DFw), and planes dirty. People dress like slobs, no professionalism, just weak. They really do an overhaul, and I put that squarely on the leadership.
What is amazing to me is American Airlines (AA) provides free drinks to those in exit rows. I am not kidding. Like - What is that about?!? And this was like 3 weeks ago on a flight from BOS to DFW.
The response by Boeing as been abysmal. They have earned all the bad press and lack of trust as a result of poor leadership in a time of crisis. I am shocked many are still there. Complacency. Overconfidence. Arrogance.
