The judge, upon her nomination to the district bench on which she now serves, was deemed by the American Bar Association to be unqualified to sit on the court. In making the ruling, she substituted her judgment for that of Congress. The correct ruling would have been to leave the CDC mask order in place, question whether the CDC had the authority to impose it, but say it is a matter more appropriately decided by the Congress and its representatives which are closest to the people affected. For a single judge on a lower court to rule as she did is not the way a republic is supposed to be governed.

According to Bloomberg News, "The plane was headed easterly when at 2:20:59pm it began a sudden plunge that would have likely flung objects and any unbelted passengers violently to the ceiling. It went from level flight to a descent rate of almost 31,000 feet per minute in about five seconds. "But after about 45 seconds, the descent became less steep and for a few moments the jet climbed by more than 1,000 feet. It went from 7,425 feet up to 8,600 feet in about 10 seconds, according to the FlightRadar data, which is based on data transmitted by the plane. Just as the earlier dive would have flung items to the ceiling, the climb would have created huge gravitational forces, pinning people in their seats. "The climb was short-lived. The jet resumed its dive seconds later, plunging again at about 31,000 feet per minute. The last position recorded on the FlightRadar track was at 2:22:36pm, about a minute and 35 seconds after it began."

Michael, no vaccination is 100% effective. Just as not all heart by-passes are successful, or all hip replacements are successful. The list goes on. But for healthy persons, the vaccines are effective 95% of the time. As we approach one million Covid deaths in the US, one can only wonder why the vast majority of those killed by the infection or from contributing causes chose to risk their lives by believing in misinformation and conspiracy theories (none of which had any credible, provable or even logical basis).

AS a former appointee in the Reagan Administration, and a student of our former president's attitudes toward government, I am compelled to provide context which was left out regarding his "government is the problem" quote. President Reagan was not a libertarian, he did not advocate the dismantling of the federal government. At the time of his inauguration our country was in the depths of economic crisis, and it was in that context in the address following his swearing-in that he said, "In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we

There are 30,288 cubic feet of cargo space in a B747-8F, which is one of the largest cargo planes flying today. I will let others (perhaps some math nerds from Idaho) calculate how many potatoes you can cram into a cubic foot, and then everyone else can do the simple math from there.

The 1st Amendment does not protect the right to lie, especially when your lie is a provable threat to public health and safety.

Schools across the country require all sorts of vaccinations, a mandate that dates to the post WWII years.

The best solution is for the airlines to require proof of vaccination in order to board the aircraft (similar to what ship cruises now require). If a state like Florida bans such a requirement, then the airlines can simply suspend service to the state. Because Florida has no income tax, it must rely on sales taxes to keep operating. It needs tourists to visit and pay those taxes. It’s time to force the governor to make a choice there.

What is your source for the “over 11,000 people lost their jobs working on a pipeline”? If there is any insanity here, it is repeating misinformation.
