Frank E. your comment on the Jato bottles is so true, because thats what is really necessary to get a huge payload like that off the relatively short aircraft carrier deck, else there is no way they could have taken off from that tiny runway. I believe the bottles (booster rockets) were a later mod. to these aircraft because I read that in the (war) zone they needed extensively longer runways & that was not a luxury afforded to the pilots of these huge machines.
If you see the manufacturers wing testing videos on you tube they apply a static wing force both upwards & then downwards till the wing fails, the amount of stress it is built/designed/tested for is simply incredible. If the flex & capability was not so, the wings would literally fall off. In contrast the F21(Sukhoi) is designed for 12G forces, which means the pilot would pass out (due to the G force) before the wings can even come near failing.
