doubt if the European regulators will be in any hurry as Boeing brought suit against Airbus in the WTO and caused tariffs to be applied. what comes around goes around...........
even though some of these fumes can be very irritating to mucus membranes, i would suspect that any loss of consciousness was from anxiety of the unknown and not from any anesthetic effect of the fumes.
i am appalled that my alma mater would publish such poor science. they should consider the following FACTS,
The world population has grown from 1.75B in 1920 to 3.61B in 1970 to 7.4B today, a staggering doubling every 50 yrs. Carbon dioxide levels were 305ppm in 1920, 325ppm in 1970 and 415ppm in 2019.
The average person generates the heat equivalent of a 100w light bulb, continuously.
So what are the conclusions???
and after Boeing filed a suit against Airbus at the WTO which just was announced in favor of Being, do not expect any MAX's to be flying in Europe for quite a while. talk about shooting oneself in the foot, I am amazed that Boeing senior management is still in place.
isn't the basic problem one of design in the beginning, they only had to contrive this software to fix the issue that the engines were heavier than previous models and would change the COG. So shouldn't they have done a redesign of the whole plane or done a new model, but then competitive pressures from Airbus precluded that, so corporate greed???
i am somewhat disgusted with both AA and Southwest who continued to fly these planes until they were grounded by executive order. American even made passengers who wanted to change plane types to pay the change fees. Do they have that little concern for their customers? I would have thought that the liability risk if something had happened to another plane could have bankrupted the company.
