@Ralf, the ICAO type designator is UH1, for all UH-1 variants.

FYI, early days of VN, Tech Analysis was trying to develop a "bullet detector" to mount on bottom of a/c to detect when (and from where) they were being fired upon. Never worked, because rotor tips were too fast, masking any sound of bullets passing by.... Project abandoned.

I got to say I enjoyed riding on one of these back in 84 during my basic, we did a 20 mile march with full gear then the ones who wanted to ride back got to, the chickens all drove back in a duece.
I remember the seats facing straight out the side and looking up at the sky as we took off and went to the right.
I will never forget that amazing but short ride.
that ride got me hooked on aviation.
