Okaaay! Interesting angle! One question...where were you standing Robert?
Wow! It doesn't look like the blades will clear the trees!!
Scares me, and I'm fearless!
Snug fit strip.
Now that’s chopper control! Beautiful photo!
How about a type designator of B212? BH12 is not an actual code. CMH Heli-Skiing, with aircraft provided by Alpine Helicopters, seems to have a number of Bell 212s.
Long telephoto shot? Must be a lot of space in the valley between the near trees and the far ones.

Absolutely AWESOME!
Incredible perspective!!
OMG! I'm afraid to ask... What did the next photo look like?
A long enough exposure to get incredible depth of field combined with the terrain/topography and contrast of the snowy firs make for an unforgettable shot. The trees behind the chopper are on the other side of a canyon, the pilot had to have yawed to point at the photographer since continuing on that approaching flight path would have been disastrous. Or maybe the photographer and the foreground trees are on the top of a ridge, the lighting makes it hard to tell. Truly amazing!
I fly, but not like that!!
I sure miss confined area landings. Great shot. I am curious as to what is in the pod on the right side of the bird is.
I don't see any snow 'dust' from the prop wash.
Cool shot
Container for skis on the right side.
GREAT Shot!
Awesome shot!
That's a Bell 212, built in 1980. It crashed in 1992 at Invermere, BC. The pilot was attempting to stop his external load from sliding down a snow-covered hill. The helicopter moved rearward and the tail rotor struck the hillside. Directional control was lost and the helicopter descended, struck the ground and rolled over. The sole occupant survived.
