Why does SWA have silver tires?
Peruvian DC-8-73CF. Built Jan 1970, Ser # 46091, formally N873SJ. Works fine, lasts long time.
Joseph, the planes are in storage, the silver is environmental barrier paper. Mainly keeps the UV rays off the rubber, but rain, salt, etc... as well
