These are great snow shots Sam. Some of these have a ski on the tailwheel also?
Dave that is correct, a few aircraft have skis on the tail not necessarily for steering but so the wheel doesn't dig into the snow and possibly flip the bird
Yes, flipping the bird has a different connotation with aircraft!!!
