MD HELICOPTERS MD-520N (ZK-HFJ)

Nice look at a NOTAR - just retired from the Boeing AH64 Plant in Mesa AZ - we had one fly over us routinely with its distinct blower (?) whine rather than the tail rotor buzz

While employed by Hughes Helicopters I watched a film of the NOTAR backing into heavy brush. A great design.

I wonder how much water that such can pick up.

This is actually my favorite helicopter. The NOTAR system makes these the safest.

I have a difficult time walking down the street and chewing gum at the same time!
This guy has both hands on the controls, both feet on the anti torque pedals, sticking his head outside picking up water and talking to his girlfriend on the radio! Superman !!!
