Another super post, Alien. Just an FYI for you ... the picnic tables are still there in the same spot; however, the entire area that was formerly the airpark is now all fenced off and inaccessible to the general public. Frankly, I don't quite understand why the tables have not been removed. No one sits there anymore since it is off limits to all but TSA and RTAA police, fire, and MX personnel. Anyway, TYVM for sharing this oldie but goodie snap. ***** Oh, one more PS >> As of two weeks ago, I am now authorized unescorted airside access to the east side of the airport. Come on over to visit and I'll take you out there.

We've got a T/Share at David Walley's in Genoa. Double unit. Since our son moved away to LA, we let aviation spotter friends use it. We always schedule our week during the annual Minden Airport Aviation Roundup. Every year features either the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds. There's always a superb Canadian AF Exhibition Team performing there too. It is always an excellent two-day event, and since our guests stay free for a week in an outstanding T/Share condo, the entire week barely costs them any $$$. Once you move back, maybe you and your fam would enjoy free use of it for a week. Quick trip to Lake Tahoe or stay at Walley's and swim in their Hot Springs pools.

Ok, I'll contact off line on ME. Sounds good on the rest. My ex's relatives lived on Molly Dr in CC in the 70s-mid 90s. Always liked that area....Minden has grown I am amazed, last trip was June 2018 traveling thru wow!
