McDonnell Douglas FA-18 Hornet (16-3468) - US Navy Blue Angel #7 163468, cn 0691, throttling up for the engagement of the newly installed Semi-Permeant Barrier Arresting Kit (BAK)-12 Aircraft Arresting System to ensure its readiness at KYNG on 1 Sep 2010 before heading to Burke Lakefront Airport, Cleveland- (KBKL) USA – Ohio, for the 2010 Cleveland National Air Show. This was the first certification of the BAK-12, which has been used every air show since then, excluding 2013, when the air show was canceled due to federal budget cuts and lack of military aircraft participation.
