Does this look like a composite to you?
M RICCIOTTI
sure does. Take a close look at the trailing tire. it has a vertical flat on the left side.
Also it appears that all of thee folks are lousy photographers. None of them are pointing directly at the center or front of the plane.
But I would like to visit this beach some day!
Dave Mathes
...nope, looks like he's just gonna clear the fence into Princess Juliana...

Looks too low to me....fake!

One group can't gauge the aircraft speed, one guy waiting for the touchdown shot, one gal snapping pics of the clouds before sunset. Many people go to the beach and don't care about planes.

Flat tire? More likely reflection of low-angle sunlight blending with background in the camera sensor.

Too low? Looks on target to me.

I know this location. I have been there. The girl is a composite. The decent and landing altitude is real. I have seen Boeing 737's and A320's land here too. Quite impressive. The runway is very short because there is mountains at the end. Engine reverse is quite loud. When one of these big birds take off they have to rev up the engines really loud then steep turn to avoid the mountains. Everyone rushes to the fence to get a rush from the wind gust. Your hanging on for dear life on the fence. Some people have been killed. Very dangerous. The photo was taken from a restaurant/bar(destroyed by a hurricane but re-built) over looking the water. This is St. Marteen in the Virgin Islands. On the wall of the bar on the outdoor side deck is a painting of a DC-3 with a flight attendant dressed from the 30's. On the outdoor deck is a large statue of Johnny Walker(the liquor). Lots of fun and good cooking.

Look at the shadows of the people on the beach. Where is the shadow of the plane? It should be in front of the nose and moving to the right, but there isn't a shadow there.

Super Photo of Aircraft & Interest in the foreground too Daniel.

people are inconscients on the sand..

The shadow angles look right. If so, the aircraft shadow is just beyond the fence. No way to judge sink rate, if any, with a still. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Same plane, different photog.

It looks real to me. It's a nice pic, and that's all that matters.

So real I can smell the suntan lotion

Gal already took her picture or waiting for bigger prey.
Group ready for the selfie shot as the plane passes behind them touching down.
Guy in the water following the plane snapping multiple shots. Will probably see on FA.
