There is a twelfth aircraft partially visible in this pic - the tail of an Alaska (Horizon Airlines) RJ is sticking up from the far side of Concourse C (right side of main terminal).

Very interesting perspective! Is that still smoke from the wildfires in the background?

Thanx, Isaac. Yes, that is still wildfire smoke, and it was still thick enough to obscure the mountains in the west behind the downtown cityline, but the smoke is much diminished in intense thickness, and about midway thru this afternoon the winds finally shifted significantly and started blowing out of the northeast. If they continue to come from that direction for a day or so, they will keep the smoke still coming from those devastating wildfires in CA from blowing east and into our skies. And those winds will also blow all that smoke that is presently over Reno, the airport, and the Truckee Meadows back over the Sierra and into CA. Just in time, too. The Reno Hot Air Balloon Races Are only a week and a half away, the US Navy Tailhook Convention will be held here in a week and a half, and then the National Championship Air Races begin just two weeks from tomorrow. So we are earnestly praying for clear blue skies.
