McDonnell Douglas DC-8-70 (N604BX)
After landing on 30L, ATI's N604BX provided a nice photo op as it taxied by.
Prior to flying for ATN, this long bird flew for Flying Tigers, American Flyers, and Emery Worldwide, all with reg. N792FT..

Capturing this was one of the ultra-top highlights of our 2011 trip because it took us back to our younger days (lol).
In 2012, just one year after we saw it here, this DC-8 went to the boneyard.

Goodness, you knew they were stretched, but this view makes it look wrong, just plain wrong, but it's just fuselage length/diameter ratio.
Gary thank you for sharing this old beauty. I remember these flying to BOS as well. 5 *'s
Flew on these a couple of times. If I am not mistaken, the fuselage length is 187 feet. Talk about getting tunnel vision then sitting in the back and looking forward. Also, the back of the fuselage would oscillate in turbulence. Great airplane though.
Nice engine upgrades.
Don't all fuselages oscillate? I remember looking down the aisle during some incredible turbulence, and swore the tail was wagging! I'm also surprised to feel the floor give way as people walk back to their seats. But anyway...
