Northrop T-38 Talon (65-0429) - Lifting away from runway 16L, this T-38 Talon (9th Reconnaissance Wing, Air Combat Command, Beale AFB, CA -- KBAB) is in the process of completing the second of three Touch and Go passes at RNO. After the third, the black Talon headed west enroute back to KBAB.

No reg number. It never made a full stop landing here; only did three T&Gs and then headed back to Beale. But even though it did not park, I snapped 34 pics of it as it did those three T&Gs. I've examined each pic carefully, but I have not found any reg number. It has got to be on it somewhere. Very unusual.

The Tail number is 65-0429. The paint job on numbering is to distinguish this acft as the Beale Commanders jet. Henceforth the "9" in 429 is stood out for 9RW. Before this jet was done this way we had 64-3271 with the "71" highlighted for the SR-71. When that jet retired it was switched to this T-38.
