Boeing 737-800 (N916NN) - It was a messy, messy night, but here is a snapshot of something that has not been seen at Reno Tahoe International since 1999 ... the ROA livery on a passenger aircraft at a KRNO gate. On the night of December 13, 2015, for the first time in 16 years, a pax jet wearing Reno Air paint was back home in Reno ... and, perhaps quite appropriately, the snow had just started falling ... and is just beginning to be visible (right below the snow-covered mountains) on the tail end of Americans N916NN, the Reno Air heritage schemebird. So, despite having to click this shot from the top of the parking garage at night thru falling snow, I am extremely pleased to be able to say I caught the Homecoming of Reno Air.

So, despite having to click this shot from the top of the parking garage at night thru falling snow, I am extremely pleased to be able to say I caught the Reno Homecoming Arrival of Reno Air. It departed again the next morning before sunrise, so it is a fairly safe bet that very, very few citizens of the city of Reno actually had a chance to see it, but I was dam_ed determined to catch it when it made its first visit here, and I did it. And although the shot is dark due to distance, lighting, and falling snow, it is a good sharp snap. Welcome Home, Reno Air.
