That snow visible just behind the downtown area in this pic (and in the longer-range photo of the JetSuite Embraer that I posted just previous to this one) will melt away over the next couple of weeks because the daytime temps are already back into the low 50s, but the snowpack in the Sierra Nevada is deep and will be providing plenty of opportunities for winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, etc., for a long time.

"Sierra 5x" and I bet Tahoe is awesome! We even had a foot of snow in Redding though work issues kept me away from the Runways...love that snow covered hillside!
