Airbus A330-300 (N861NW) - Dark clouds full of moisture are moving into the area as Deltas N861NW turns into its parking location on the Atlantic Aviation ramp at Reno Tahoe International. The DAL Airbus was arriving empty from Seattle to pick up over 220 US Marines and take them to Elmendorf AFB (PAED). The snow began falling and a strong wind came up during the equipment and baggage loading process so everyone was covered with snow, but the storm only lasted about an hour. The sun came out and by the time the Marines filed aboard, it was a beautiful sunny afternoon.

This was the fist time I've ever seen/captured an A330 at RNO, and everyone I associate with at the airport feels that this could very well be the first-ever visit to Reno by this Airbus model. Whether it was the first A330 to land here or not, it certainly drew a lot of attention: personnel from the RTAA as well as from commercial airlines on the other side of the airport came over to Atlantic to view it.

Great capture - 5x. I remember when all I ever saw at RNO was DC-8s, 727, 737, MD-90, MD-87 and MD-80s.
