Boeing 757-200 (N757AF) - The 2024 Republican Presidential candidate (and former POTUS) Donald Trump is in his private B757 "Trump Force One" (N757AF) as it covers the final two thousand feet of its s/final approach to KRNO's Runway 17L. Former President Trump's arrival in Reno from a campaign rally in Colorado comes just 48 hours after a campaign visit in Reno by the 2024 Democratic candidate for VPOTUS, Tim Walz; and will be followed just 48 hours later by a Reno visit by the current FLOTUS, Jill Biden, who is touring several battleground states attempting to raise support for the Democratic candidate for POTUS, Kamala Harris.

Of the four 2024 Presidential Election candidates (Republicans Donald Trump / J. D. Vance and Democrats Kamala Harris / Tim Walz), only Harris has not made a campaign rally visit to Reno. Trump and Vance have each made one visit, and Walz has made two; and it is rumored that he (Walz) may be making a 3rd visit next week.

Of All the presidents, Trump hasn't made an appearance to my home town! Thank G-D!

Excellent Photo and from my voting scale a big 10 out of 10!
All you need is his autograph on this.

Rich ... Howdy, and Thanx. I arrived at my predetermined spotting position here about 90 minutes before his scheduled 2:30 PM arrival .... and he arrived at 4:15 PM. And during my 3 hour and 15 minute wait, I was contacted and questioned four times; once by the Douglas County SO, once by the SS, once by a Reno PD officer, and once by a K-9 unit. No hassle; just making certain I was only carrying cameras and that I knew where I could be and (more importantly) where I couldn't be. Oh, and a lady approached me, held up a sign reading "Two puppies for Trump," and lifted her blouse up ... and yes indeed, there were the puppies. (I luv this hobby. lol)

Hi Gary, pardon my ignorance but who are the SS in Reno? Great shot of the B752 BTW! Well and truly worth the waiting...!

Yo, Chris. How are you doing? Keep an eye open on your e/m. I've got tons of pics of this one AND of a National 747 so I figure I'll send a different angle pic to you and the rest on the list.
The "SS" is the Secret Service. It is a branch of the Dept of Homeland Security. It has two main responsibilities; one being the protection of high ranking US government officials and their families (and former presidents, etc., and also candidates for election to those positions, etc.).
When the FLOTUS came here two days ago, I was airside on a ramp taking pics and I didn't realize I was clicking an SS sniper and spotter in the background. I'll send you that pic too.
Back when Emperor Obama was POTUS, I was at the airport because he was visiting here. As he was returning in Marine One (a Whitehawk copter), I was on the airport perimeter. I was about 30 feet away from a tall perimeter fence so I put up a ten foot ladder in order to be able to snap over the fence. I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and shorts. I emptied all my pockets and pulled them inside out so it was obvious that I had nothing with me except my camera. Since it is illegal to be 4 feet or closer to the fence, I made certain I was 30 feet away from it. As Marine One came lower and was about to touch down on the National Guard ramp, I went up my ladder to get it landing. I got my snaps and lowered my camera, and it was only then that I noticed a red dot on my T-shirt right at my chest. For a micro-moment, I thought I had scratched myself and that it was a spot of blood ... and then I realized what it really was. I had my pics so I went down the ladder VERY slowly, closed it up, and headed back to my car. Interesting experience. lol

Really? Puppies? Or ta-ta's? I used to show up for events like that... hours earlier to claim my spot!! Great image!!
CHRIS ROBEY
Wow Gary! Am I sure glad I queried you on that! Otherwise we would never have even heard about that "close encounter"...!

@ fototaker Tony .... (BIG grin) The lady called them "puppies" but I assure you they were "all grown up." lolol Gotta love this younger generation; if they've got em, they flaunt em. As for showing up to claim a spot, around here it isn't too difficult. Currently, there are 26 fine locations for planespotting at RNO but 17 of them require the photog to walk farther than 200 feet and walking farther than 200 feet away from their vehicle is a preposterous idea to all but 3 or 4 spotters around here so getting a great place to click pics is easy here. TY for the Comment, Tony.
Chris R and the others on the recipient list >>> One pic should be in your e/m box. More to come.

Great shot Gary!
