Seven years ago (2015). Early morning. I'm driving on I-80. Then, an airplane goes by in the opposite direction. Too unusual to pass up, so I get off at the next exit, reverse direction, and set off in pursuit.
Caught up to it two blocks away from my home.

Built in 1950 (the same year I was born)
Power Plant: Jacobs R755A (I've never heard of a Jacobs engine ...)

So I figure this is on its way to a graveyard. Wrong!
Today (17 Jun 22), it is in Cincinnati and the registration has been renewed! Apparently, someone somewhere in Ohio is intent on getting this one back in the air. Too cool if it happens ...
