Lockheed C-130 Hercules (08-3178)
The long shadows on the fuselage is a certain indicator of the fact that the sun is just rising in the east in this shot of two (08-3178 and 08-5678) of the five Dyess-based C-130J Hercs on the Atlantic Aviation ramp.

Nice shot!
I love the wide angle effect....... :)
Thanks, Dean. These are two of the eight birds (five Hercs, two L-39s, and a Talon) I'd wanted to get you out there on the grounds that day to photograph. I am very sorry it could not be arranged.
Yo, T. It's a pano. Two singles (one of each Herc) merged together into one pic. (Wave) I have a pano of four of the Hercs but it is way too large a file to post on FA. Couldn't get the fifth one in the pano because it was parked far away from the other four.

Hi Gary, that is a great shot of the Dyess based Hercs. What was the reason why there were five C130J's despatched to KRNO? Must have been a major exercise happening...Wave!
Chris ... They were here for almost a week. It was indeed an exercise and I cannot say for certain but I believe the exercise was part of the training the Marines are getting up in Bridgeport, CA. The Hercs are gone now and the Marines will be going back to Cherry Point (N. Carolina) soon.
Okay!..thanks for that info Gary. Just as well that Atlantic Aviation have plenty of ramp area available!
Ive never taken Pano Pic............
