Southwest's "Florida One" (N945WN) is seen beyond a company fleetbird as it heads away from the Southwest apron at Reno Tahoe International and rolls north on Alpha toward runway 16R.

It was a "big news" day at RNO yesterday. Southwest announced there will be three new RNO-OAK flights starting here ... and flights to other new destinations coming soon, too. After getting some snaps of the announcement celebration activities for the airport folks, I stayed around and caught two of Southwest's specialbirds: this one and also SWA's Tuskegee Airmen salutary stickerbird (it had just landed and was turning on to the Southwest ramp as I clicked this shot). So it was a superb day for several reasons.
