Grumman Goose (N39FG) - Summer Wind, a privately owned Grumman Goose (N39FG), passes the first of two rainbows as it is landing on Reno Stead Airports Runway 32 in the early evening hours. Summer Wind was one of three aircraft that landed at RTS while the rainbows were visible.

These were commercial taxis from KLOB(Long beach, CA) to the Avalon, Catalina harbor in the 60's. Thrilling as all heck to see the turning final to 'flop' into the harbor. KAVX is on the Western end of the island while Avalon is on the Eastern, so the harbor was a better choice.
