YC-3 with Navy Partol Squadron 2 (VP-2) which was homeported out of NAS Whidbey Island, WA en route to Westpac deployment at NAS Sangley Point in the Philippines and the year before based at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. These aircraft were configued for ASW against Soviet submarines but wee used for smuggling interdiction in Viet-Nam as part of Operation Market Time.
