Not trying to be pedantic, but it's a USAF F-35A, the F-35C is used by the US Navy and has folding wings with visible hinges.

Correct Lakenheath doesn't have any A's, probably a C

Bill B. Is correct. This is an F-35A. It has an internal gun in the left wing riot. B and C models do not have an internal gun.

The Air Force only operates the A model. The C model is the Navy and the B is VTOL for the Marines.
