— — - This is William P. Hobby Airport as seen from 5,000 ft AGL. My flight had just departed Runway 22 before making a 180° turn around the airport to fly up north to Des Moines. You can see in this image that both Runway 22 and Runway 13R are being used for commercial departures on this day. Photo taken July 1, 2021 at 9:24 AM with Nikon D3200 at 29mm.

As airline travel rebounds from the pandemic, I am very happy to have made my return to the skies on the inaugural Allegiant hub route out of Des Moines. The routing was DSM-HOU-DSM. On the departure out of HOU, the aircraft made a 180° turn giving a fantastic view of William P. Hobby Airport!
